A.Ş. 1982 yılında; 26 yıllık iş hayatında özel sektörde teknik müdürlük, işletme müdürlüğü, fabrika müdürlüğü, genel müdürlük ve danışmanlık yapmış; ayrıca bu süre içerisinde Türkiye’de 8 adet fabrikanın proje çizimleri, kuruluşu ve devreye alınmasını sağlamış olan Oktay ÇAĞATAY tarafından, ticari bir şirket olarak kurulmuştur.

Şirket, on üç yaşına basarken gerekli sermayeyi ve altyapıyı oluşturarak, ciddi ve tam teçhizatlı bir üretim tesisi için girişimlerine başlamıştır.

1998 yılında, Avrupa’da dahi yeni kullanılmaya başlanan ekstrüder teknolojisini, bir ilki gerçekleştirerek Türkiye’ye getirmiş ve Türkiye’nin o günlerde yükselen, bugün ise taşıyıcı sektörü olan Aquakültür sektörünün gelişmesinde ve ihracata başlamasında büyük rol oynamıştır.

Şirket, 2000 yılının başlarında, Türkiye’de ciddi bir eksiklik olan kedi ve köpek mamalarının üretimi konusunda karar almıştır. Bu konuda araştırmalara başlanıp Avrupa’da kedi ve köpek mamaları üretiminde ilk üç içerisinde yer alan bir firma ile anlaşılarak gerekli eğitim ve hazırlıklar yapılmıştır. Yaklaşık iki yıllık sıkı ve detaylı bir çalışmanın ardından 2001 yılında kedi ve köpek maması üretimine başlanmıştır.

Şirketin belli noktalarında yerlerini almak üzere eğitimlerini tamamlamış olan ikinci nesilin, aktif olarak görev almaları da bu yıllarda olmuştur.

Kısa sürede konusunda uzman personeli, gelişmiş teknolojisi, özverili ve detaylı Ar-Ge çalışmaları ile sektörde ‘kaliteli mama’ üreten firma unvanını almıştır. Bugün ise gelmiş olduğu noktayı koruyabilmek ve seviyesini yükseltebilmek için ‘öğrenmeye ‘ devam etmektedir.

İzmir’de 16.000 m² alanda yıllık 45.000 ton kapasiteli son teknoloji üretim tesisleri ile Çağatay Evcil Hayvan Mamaları ve Yem Ürünleri San. ve Tic.
